Welcome to Winging Cat Rescue!

Welcome to Winging Cat Rescue, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to the responsible rescue, care and placement of cats and kittens from high-volume, high-kill animal control facilities in Georgia. We hope you will be moved (as we are) by the plight of shelter animals and decide to become involved!  We welcome your participation as we strive to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.  There are a number of issues confronting animals and those who work unceasingly to give them a second chance at life. We hope you will explore the site, read the stories of cats and kittens who have been rescued and welcomed into adoptive homes as forever companions - and we hope you will be inspired to make a difference here or in your own community. Don't forget to check out the cats and kittens in our Adoption Center and those who still languish in shelters awaiting adoption or rescue. Please be patient - our site is still relatively new; we hope to have some dynamic new content up soon!
